Youth Art Classes with Tim Stiles

Instructor: Tim Stiles

Students will be exposed to and learn techniques in painting, drawing, pottery and ceramics, and mixed media. Class is held in the art building. Available during the Fall and Spring Semesters only.

Class Times:

3rd—5th Grade: Mondays @ 4:00 – 5:00 PM

Middle School: Thursdays @ 4:30 – 5:30 PM

High School: Thursdays @ 5:30 – 6:30 PM

Cost: $95 per month ( 4 week billing cycle) and a $20 materials fee per semester

7th - 12th Grade Mixed Media Art

Instructor: Janie Oglesby

This course will give students a broad yet thorough understanding of 2D & 3D mediums, such as paint, clay, plaster, and more. Students will experiment with combining different materials into one masterpiece. Projects will range from creating your own mask to designing stop motion figures. This class is perfect for the adventurous artist who wants to learn it all! Available for the Fall and Spring Semesters only.

Class Time: Thursdays @ 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM

Cost: $95 per month ( 4 week billing cycle) and a $20 materials fee per semester

Youth Art - Young Artists

Instructor: Janie Oglesby

Students in this class will explore an array of art styles, mediums, and art vocabulary. They will be equipped with the basic tools to grow their skill and knowledge, and have a lot of fun while doing so!! Available for the Fall and Spring Semesters only.

Class Time:

K-2nd grade: Thursday @ 4:00-4:45 PM

3rd- 8th grade: Thursday @ 5:00-6:00 PM

Cost: $95 per month ( 4 week billing cycle) and a $20 materials fee per semester

Youth/Teen Drawing Class

Instructor: Fred Hasenzahl

Beginner/intermediate drawing classes for students in which one-hour sessions will be held once per week during the summer. In these classes, we will be focusing on still life, and landscapes. Students will be required to furnish their own materials and supplies. During all studio classes, I work with the students both as a group and individually to help them not only with their materials and techniques but also instruct them in using basic academic art principles such as visualizing, drawing in one- and two-point perspective, line and form, composition, light and dark contrasts.

This class is for 6th -12th grade students.

Cost: $95 per month ( 4 week billing cycle)

Class Time: Fridays from 7:00-8:00 PM

Students are required to bring their own supplies to this class. Supply list for this class will be available upon registration.

Teen Pottery

Instructor: Janie Oglesby

This class is geared toward teens 11-18 years old who have an interest in learning to create pottery. This class will utilize both using the wheel and hand sculpting as well as glazing. Classes are kept small so that the student is able to get the hands on instruction they need to create beautiful pieces of art.

Dates: September 1 - October 31, 2025 ( no class on Oct 8 unless the instuctor misses a class and uses this day as a make-up)

Class Time: Wednesday 5:00-6:00 PM

Age: 11-18 years old

These classes usually run 8 weeks and dates may vary. Please fill out a registration form for more details.

Cost: $110 per month ($220 per 8 week class)

Material/Clay Cost $50

Limit of 5 students per class

This class must be paid in full before the class begins.

Home School Art Enrichment

Instructor: Janie Oglesby

This class is set up for students to dive into the world of art as we learn and create. We will learn foundational concepts, history and styles as it relates to class projects. Mediums include acrylic paint, graphite and charcoal as well as ink and watercolor. Students will get to create concepts, render learned skills and pick their projects in a fun and engaging learning environment and truly use their imagination. Available for the Fall and Spring Semesters only.

Students are required to bring some of their own basic supplies to class. Please ask for the art supply list for this class if registered.

Class Time: Friday 9:00 AM - 11: 00 AM

Age: 1st- 12th grade students

Cost: $95 per month (4 week billing cycle)

Open Medium Painting Class

Instructor: Frederick Hasenzahl

Oils, Watercolors, Gouache, and Pastels

This workshop is a great way for both beginners and those with some experience who love to paint still life, landscapes, or abstracts and would like to learn new skills using different mediums such as oils, gouaches, watercolors and pastels. As a beginner, intermediate or more advanced artist, you will have the opportunity to use any of these mediums in which you choose to explore and express your creative nature! During all studio classes, I will instruct and work with each student in using materials and techniques in their chosen medium and as a class the underlying principles of drawing, composition, and visualizing in perspective and colour perception.

Class Times: Saturdays, 10:00 AM -11:30

Cost: $95 per month ( 4 week billing cycle)

Age: High School - Adult

Comic Book Art & Creation - An Introduction 8 Week Workshop

Instructor: David VanDyke

Unleash your creativity and bring your stories to life in this exciting introduction to comic book art and creation! In this class, students will explore the fundamentals of visual storytelling, character design, panel layout, and the dynamic techniques used by professional comic book artists. Whether you love superheros, fantacy, slice-of-life, or graphic novels, this class will guide you through the process of developing original characters, crafting compelling narratives, and illustrating your own comic book pages.

Teen Class: Designed specifically for creative teens with a passion for comics, this class encourages imaginative thinking andartistic growth in a supportive, hands-on environment. No prior experience is needed - just a love for drawing and storytelling.

Day: Saturdays

Time: 1:00- 3:00 PM

Minimum of 6 students to start.

Note:

Fall semester: 16 weeks of instruction = 4 months

Spring Semester: 20 weeks of instruction = 5 months

Billing: you will be billed in 4- week billing cycles due by the 1st for each month.
