Joshua Adkins

Joshua Adkins: Executive Director

Prior to coming to Gaston School of the Arts, Joshua served as worship pastor at First Baptist Church of Belmont for twelve years. During that time, he organized and later served as Executive Director of the Fine Arts Academy of Belmont. Joshua earned a degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Appalachian State University. As part of his studies, he studied music and ballet in Graz, Austria. Joshua has performed in sacred and secular venues throughout the eastern United States, Europe and Syria. He has been a lifetime student of the visual, musical, and dramatic arts

Lisa Roberto

Lisa Roberto:Office Manager and Student Accounts

Lisa has had the privilege of gaining extensive experience in a multitude of industries throughout her career. She is an animal lover and has spent many years working with animals, starting as a teen in a pet store as their night manager and moving into professional pet sitting, pet grooming, and a vet tech in a 24 hour emergency animal hospital just outside of NYC. She has also gained significant business office experience as a marketing manager for several large businesses and was a small business owner. These skills have helped her to gain the skills and insight into performing her duties as the Office Manager and Student Accounts Representative for Gaston School of the Arts to keep the school office running smoothly and successfully and to achieve the mission of providing quality, affordable arts instruction in music, arts, and drama for children and adults in the Gaston County area.

When not in her office, she loves spending time with her husband and son or snuggling up with the family dog. She is an avid reader with a significant interest in psychological thrillers, true crime, and Stephen King novels and enjoys having shared experiences such as traveling, live music concerts, an off-Broadway productions.
